IF Elfsborg one-sidedly defeated IF Brommapojkarna with six goals to nil in their recent Allsvenskan match held last Thursday evening at the Borås Arena. A crowd of 7661 spectators witnessed the match, officiated by Andreas Ekberg, with Mehmet Culum and Stefan Hallberg as his assistants.
Elfsborg dominated the match since the beginning. Johan Larsson scored the opening goal for Elfsborg at 25 minutes, assisted by Stefan Ishizaki, giving them a one-goal advantage. Mohamed Bangura then scored two back-to-back goals at 27 and 42 minutes, with assists from Henning Hauger and Marcus Rohdén, respectively, increasing their lead to three goals.
Brommapojkarna attempted to turn the tables by replacing Andreas Eriksson with Filip Tronét at 45 minutes. However, it did not change Elfsborg's momentum. At 63 minutes, Tom Söderberg scored their fourth goal, assisted by Stefan Ishizaki, followed by Henning Hauger's goal at 66 minutes, assisted by Viktor Claesson, extending Elfsborg's lead to five goals.
Elfsborg then replaced Mohamed Bangura with James Keene at 68 minutes, while Viktor Claesson took Marcus Rohdén's place at 60 minutes. They then replaced Stefan Ishizaki with Niklas Hult at 76 minutes. On the other hand, Joakim Lindner replaced Mauricio Albornoz Inola at 76 minutes for Brommapojkarna.
Pontus Åsbrink of Brommapojkarna received a yellow card at 80 minutes. Any hopes of a comeback were shut down by Elfsborg's Lars Nilsson, who scored their sixth and final goal at 87 minutes, assisted by Niklas Hult, sealing their victory 6-0.
